This is legitimate but you musst ensure that the tunnel support multicast. An normal ip2ip tunnel doesnt support this (use a [http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/Adv-Routing-HOWTO/lartc.tunnel.gre.html gre] or tap tunnel).
